“We’re proud that the Leaders’ Summit will highlight a panel focusing on Philippine entertainment content with no less than the big bosses of our country’s most influential networks as panelists. Film and TV are inevitably entwined in the same industry and we’re grateful that Singapore recognizes the important role of the Philippines in the development of the whole region content-wise. This comes at a great time especially now that for film particularly, we are celebrating the One Hundred Years,” (“Ipinagmamalaki namin na ang highlight sa Leaders’ Summit ay ang panel na nakatuon sa Philippine entertainment content, na binubuo ng mga big boss mula sa most influential networks ng ating bansa.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part 2 launches globally April 5, 2019, only on Netflix.

Welcome back to Greendale, witches. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is sure to make your 2019 a bit more magical—and a lot sexier—with nine new episodes launching in April. Your first look teaser is here.

And for the impatient, the Dark Lord’s gifts are abundant:  a special holiday episode, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: A Midwinter’s Tale, launches December 14th (previously announced).

May all of your witches come true this holiday season and in the new year!

About the series: Chilling Adventures of Sabrina imagines the origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. Tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist, this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.

Cast includes: Kiernan Shipka, Miranda Otto, Lucy Davis, Ross Lynch, Michelle Gomez, Chance Perdomo, Jaz Sinclair, Richard Coyle, Tati Gabrielle, Adeline Rudolph, Abigail Cowen, Lachlan Watson, Bronson Pinchot, and Gavin Leatherwood. Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who also serves as chief creative officer of Archie Comics, penned the script for the series. Aguirre-Sacasa executive produces alongside Riverdale collaborators Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Archie Comics CEO Jon Goldwater and Lee Toland Krieger. The drama hails from Warner Bros. Television-based Berlanti Productions.

Experience| Passport renewal ng PWD sa Ali Mall, Cubao 2018

00000

PWD – WALK-IN KA LANG:

Bilang isang Person with Disability o PWD, napakadaling mag-apply o magpa-renew ng passport.

  • Xerox copy ng two valid IDs mo (front and back).

PASSPORT RENEWAL (STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS):

HUWAG KANG PIPILA. LUMAPIT KA KAAGAD SA SECURITY GUARD. TIYAKING DALA MO ANG PWD I.D. MO.

Kaya huwag kang ma-late!

GUARD: Number 1! Number 2!

STEP 5: WINDOW 6 or 7 (COURTESY WINDOWS for PWDs, senior citizens, pregnant women.)

STEP 6: CASHIER (WINDOW 9)

Price:

REGULAR – Php 950.00 (12 working days)
EXPRESS – Php 1,200.00 (6 working days)

STEP 7: LAST STEP

  • Photo capture.
  • Data double-checking.
  • Electronic signature.
  • Electronic thumbprint.

Pipcturan ka na. Tiyakin mong maayos ang kasuotan mo at masaya ka sa itsura mo kasi ‘yan ang mukha mo sa passport for 10 years. BAWAL magsuot ng sleeveless top, see-through, mababang neckline, at iba pang wala sa kaayusan. Magbihis ka na parang mag-aapply sa trabaho. Professional and semi-casual.

ME: Ay ganun ba? Bakit?

LADY: Kailan po ba ang flight ninyo?

ME: Dec 9. Two weeks from now.

LADY: Ay, naku, ma’am. Eh para mas safe, ipick-up n’yo na lang ang passport n’yo dito sa Nov 29. Kasi baka ma-late po madeliver sa inyo.

ME: Sure po ba yun na Nov. 29 ay makukuha ko na?

LADY:  Opo.

ME: Okay po, thank you!

Presidential Proclamation declares Centennial Year of PH Cinema with FDCP as Lead Agency

The Film Development Council of the Philippines has been designated as the lead agency for the celebration of the Centennial Year of Philippine Cinema from September 12, 2019 to September 11, 2020.

Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation 622 Series of 2018, the Centennial Year of Philippine Cinema was declared in honor of Dalagang Bukid by Jose Nepomuceno, considered the first Filipino-produced and directed feature film. It was released in Sept 12, 1919. “The One Hundred Years of Philippine Cinema is a once-in-a-lifetime celebration in honor of the journey of this incredible art form and cultural marker. Film is a part of every Filipino as one of the most accessible and affective mediums that tell our stories, struggles, victories, and our growth as a people. We are grateful to the Office of the President for recognizing the importance of this milestone,” said FDCP Chairperson and CEO Liza Diño. “We look forward to commemorating Sandaan, as we call this celebration, not just with our fellow government agencies, but with all sectors of society. We encourage each and every Filipino to join us continue the legacy of our Cinema and look forward to the next hundred years.” she added.

Starting this year, the Agency has organized the Sandaan National Organizing Committee with key government agencies and institutions such as the National Commission on Culture and the Arts, Cultural Center of the Philippines, MTRCB, Optical Media Board, Film Academy of the Philippines, UP Film Institute, De La Salle College of Saint Benilde and local and regional film festivals in the country. The activities for the year for Sandaan will be in line with themes of knowledge production, education, exhibition and international events.

In anticipation of the celebration and through the efforts of FDCP, the One Hundred Years of Philippine Cinema has already been integrated in the Agency’s activities and events through the conduct of the Sandaan Conferences, a series of lectures and talks featured in its partnerships with local and regional film festivals in the country. In 2017, the Agency also partnered with the UP Film Institute for Sandaan: Philippine Cinema Centennial Conference. It has also been recognized by international film festivals and markets by declaring the Philippines as the Country of Focus in the Osaka Asian Film Festival, Focus on Asia Fukuoka International Film Festival in Japan, Far East Film Festival in Udine, Italy, Busan International Film Festival in South Korea, Exground Film Festival in Wiesbaden, Germany, and Singapore Media Festival in Singapore. Featured in these are retrospectives of films, exhibits and educational talks that highlight the journey of Philippine Cinema to where it is today.

As 2019 approaches, the agency and the National Organizing Committee will enjoin various sectors to ensure the nationwide celebration of the centennial event.
